More Harley Davidson Motor Company images have been added to my online stock photo catalog. A recent stop at the York PA factory allowed me to create some exterior images of signage and the entrance.

Work continues on the Business section of my stock photo catalog with the latest addition being the At Home Store in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Several exteriors were created over the weekend, and those images were processed and added to the portfolio.
More business photos to be added soon this summer.

Personal branding is the latest buzzword for photographers. So I thought I'd partake in some branding of my own.
Here is a quick JPG image I create from three photos I just captured in Gettysburg. I created this two styles - muted color and a blue tint (which matches my logo).
Still in the design stage, but you can see that building a brand is a never-ending chore, even for stock photographers.

The Jennie Wade House in Gettysburg is the place where the only civilian became a casualty in the three-day battle. Sometimes called Ginnie, Wade was busy kneading bread in the kitchen when a bullet struck her in the back, killing her instantly.
The house is now a popular tourist attraction in Gettysburg. This and several other images are being added to my stock portfolio and are available for licensed editorial use and immediate download.

A Gettysburg Battlefield Tours bus loaded with visitors drives through the downtown area en route to the nearby battlefields.
This is another recent Gettysburg editorial image that I have added to my online catalog of stock photos.

The Amish closely follow their interpretation of the teachings of the Bible. One of the verses, I John 2:15, is the origin of their rejection of those things they consider worldly:
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him.”
In other words, “worldly” things (a man’s possessions) such as telephones, automobiles, oversized houses stuffed full of fine furniture, sports utility vehicles, etc., are considered fancy, elaborate, or excessive. Worldly things are those big, unwarranted possessions, not needed to live a simple life dedicated to God.
Some worldly things can also be small, and taken for granted by the non-Amish. Buttons on clothing or elastic in underwear fall into this category.
Amish men and women do not reject things of natural beauty. As part of their faith and belief, they merely chose to live minimally, simply, and modestly – and without any frills. Worldly things can be large big things, such as fancy cars, flashy motorcycles, or shiny boats. It can be embellished with tools, frilly clothing, or extravagant kitchen utensils.
Alternatively, it can be small, simple, and plain things, like an LED flashlight for a keychain or a handheld calculator.
Amish Wisdom is an ongoing feature of various entries about the Amish on George Sheldon's website and blog. Written and produced by George, it is intended to provide information about those of the Amish faith.
Grab your camera and start capturing these tiny moments of time. Create some great images, and become a stock photographer - just like me.
Don't be chicken.
You can do it.
I have been thinking about putting together a 45-minute presentation to give to camera clubs and others that might be interested in learning how to get started. I wonder if anyone would be interested.
You just need to point and shoot! It's that simple.
(This and other chicken images are now part of my online stock image collection.)

Here is an older image of Erikarose, which was created as part of a portfolio building shoot for the young model and actress.
Since I just added several more galleries on my website, I had a perfect place to use it again.
People images are always fun to create. On this day, I had photographed Erikarose in several different outfits. She has lots of looks and was an excellent model to work with during the entire shoot.

Leading a patriotic parade in Gettysburg, re-enactors form the Honor Guard, proudly displaying the Stars and Stripes. Onlookers cheered as the parade assembled and passed by on Baltimore Street in the historic town.
This is just one of many Gettysburg images in my stock photo collections.
